Commuting from ABE or AVP
I received a CJO and should have my 1500 hours in another month or two. After training, I plan to live in the Allentown, PA area. How feasible is it to live there and commute from ABE or AVP? Would DTW be my best choice for a base? Thanks

ORD wouldn't make sense for either since Air Wisconsin and Envoy do the flights between the cities. Its doable but the commute would be a little more difficult. |

DTW is your best bet if you want to commute from AVP or ABE given that SkyWest operates those flights. Same amount of flights for either airport as well as around the same times.

Thanks for the input.
The reason I’m looking at Skywest is for the bases. I have family in Seattle and LA and a son moving to Phoenix. I assumed it would be best to pick a regional that has bases there. That’s my assumption, but I’m still just a 135 guy and haven’t learned the ways of the 121 world yet. As far as flow to a major. I’m 55 years old. I’m hoping to retire as a regional captain then move to the islands an work as a sun tan instructor. |
55? Regional?
Yikes....... |
