Continue to make it personal if your character requires as much, but you’re yet to answer the question why you went to work for OO (instead of literally ANY other regional) if you feel as strongly as you obviously do about the value of a union at regional airlines.
Your point below is a complete no-go; saving 1.85% in ALPA dues increases take home pay more than latency issues hurt it in nearly every circumstance. The fact that you even tried to pass this off as legit shows the flimsy nature of your entire argument and that you’re just looking for reasons to get angry about your situation at OO (leave if you perceive to be that bad?). Probably sucks pretty bad to get put in your place by a lowly private pilot!

Why don't you ask Endeavor ALPA and Compass ALPA how they're dealing with the Delta latency issue that's taking money out of Skywest pilot's pockets. This is just one example of a current issue we're dealing with. Again, come back when you actually have some experience working with or without a pilot's union.

I have experience working for both a union carrier and now a non-union carrier. My experience at the non-union carrier has been much better than my experience at my former ALPA carrier.

Oh, you mean like railroading 10,000+ professional pilots into "regional" flying on mainline routes for crappy pay and terrible work rules during the most profitable time in airline history? Is that on your list?
Probably not, because you, like most, can only see what's directly in front of your face.
I don't know anything about Sapa, but I do know that ALPA has a direct hand in that.
Do your homework Dorp.
User name checks out.

Let's not respond to the "trolls" that always show up in threads where a union or ALPA is mentioned. Even if they directly ask you a question or directly call you out, or if what they say is ridiculous.
What happens is that the thread becomes off track and is filled with back and forth until it gets shut down. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I would posit that this is actually the GOAL of said posters. And based on the writing style, attitude, inability to not use logical fallacies in discourse, etc. some of these multiple posters may be the same person.
Back to the topic, I really think what is happening to our Envoy brethren is BS. I am sure that it is a long bumpy road, but based on their resolve I don't see the pilot group or their representatives backing down any time soon.

I'm happy to be considered a "troll" if my "trolling" opens the eyes of "regional" pilots to the worthlessness of ALPA at the "regional" level.
ALPA has been "trolling" "regional" pilots for 15+ years. Taking 2% of their crappy pay and doing almost nothing to further their careers.
If my posts are provoking you, ask yourself tougher questions. Ask ALPA tougher questions before you hand them 2% of your crappy "regional" pay that ALPA pilots voted to stick you with! During the most profitable time in airline history! How many contracts have we signed in the last ten years?
Just stop and think about that for more than five seconds.
Skywest has 5000 "regional" pilots flying main line routes for UA, DL, AA, and Alaska.
Way to stand up for our profession ALPA! Way to take it back!
Get mad at management all you want, it's time to start directing some of your anger at our professional "union's". They've been dating for years with OUR 2%.

You're so right. You've been owning me since day 1. How could I possibly use my own experience actually doing the job to form my opinions? Yes I came here knowing this place wasn't union, but it's been going downhill at least for the 5 years I've been here. I'm working on my exit but refuse to sit around and let it get worse until that happens.
So you're saying you weren't here for the 12 leg days of the Metro, or the 8 Leg days of the Brasilia?
You weren't here when Min Daily Guarantee was 3:45?
Or when FO's were stuck on reserve in the Right Seat of the E120 at $19.25 /hour for 2 years plus?
Or when there was incredible movement so guys transferred out of SLC so they could get a Hotel and Per diem when they Transitioned or upgraded, only to be stuck commuting to Fresno for over two years when the music stopped?
Or when we weren't even paid for new hire training, and had to pay for our own uniforms and Jeps?
Or when they would call on your day off and if you or your wife answered the phone you were automatically Jr Manned and required to show up?
Or when the flying slowed down so much that pilots were complaining about no open time to pick up, and insisting that the company furlough their brother/sister pilots so they could get more hours, which the company in their self centered ways did not do.
I guess the lack of a contract prevented the company from furloughing out of seniority order so they wouldn't have the excuse that it would be expensive to downgrade the more senior folks to the Bro while laying off the Jr ones and displacing everybody against their will to the more Jr Domiciles.
Yeah I'd say things have really been going down hill in your 5 years here.
