Skywest vs tsa

I have job offers from both SkyWest and tsa and while I think having a huge company to work for is a good thing I also see the benefits to a smaller company where I can fly my butt off. Anyone recently complete training for the CRJ? If so how was the training programs? I have heard mixed reviews about how training is mainly self training instead of them training you on it all. What are the pass rates? And any new FO in the crj what was your reserve time looking like as well as how many hours are you flying the first few months ? I’m looking to fly my butt off.

First no airline will “train you” while you just sit around and partake of the free breakfast... they most definitely tell you what to do. But they can’t program your brain to spit out callouts and know profiles.. you need to put the effort in..

CRJ you will be complaining in a few months you fly to much and want time off that you can’t get... Thats pretty much the complainant from every CRJ pilot...

I know I will have to work hard and study that’s not what I was asking just how helpful are the instructors and do they really try to make sure you are successful or is it a thrown to your own devices situation. And that’s good to hear I would definitely want to fly my tail off from the beginning if possible thank you for the info

Advanced Qualification Program

IMHO, if you are new to jet flying, go with skywest.

How do you get dressed in the morning?

You want AQP. It breaks up sim training nicely.

Lol. It's not that much different.

AQP is a pain. A hundred different checks and validations before the check ride. I prefer the old method. Opinions will vary on this.
