I wasn’t going to wait for what would have been 17 years... worked out for me) then go to Envoy but be ready for a ruff few years.. but if you want to stay east. I would go to Republic..

really makes me wonder how bad things are at envoy if getting 90 hrs forced on your schedule with 11-13 days off (even in slow months) is considered qol. maybe living in base would make it not so bad, but of all the things OO has going for it, i would not count QOL as one of them

edit: i am refering to most east coast CRJ bases

I disagree. My QOL is great compared to my non-airline life. I drive to work, get paid very well, ability to control my schedule to get most of what I want and work under a great contract. If you are a complainer now, you’ll eventually start complaining again after you’re with a major for some time. Trust me.

I gave it a little thought and I don’t trust you.

Trust you? Why? Did you quit a major to go to republic?

It has nothing to do with the job, it’s all in your attitude. I mean you’re on APC just take a glance at the major boards and tell me how many people are complaining.

Pilots complain on here about everything, including how heavy the gold is that they have to carry.

While I agree that some people are just miserable no matter what, life does get dramatically better at most majors.

With there being SO many options in ORD for airlines I can promise you that you'll likely find a better option than Skywest. The absolute blatant lack of respect upper management has for their pilot group is amazing. They are beyond out of touch. Envoy would be a good bet with new pay scales and a guaranteed flow to AA.

Those of us who were S/Os for several years made this observation:
When a grumpy F/O upgraded, he invariably became a grumpy CA. The huge pay raise did not improve his attitude. :(
