Endeavors haven’t had 30 paint jobs. They should be fine....

How do people think the new Delta contract will affect the ATL base? I am about to start SKW and chose it over EDV because ATL was very junior at SKW.

It won't affect Atlanta in the slightest. Most of the Delta flying is going to Republic and Endevor. Do yourself a favor and go to Endevor. ATL is the worst OO base by FAR. Alot of the people who are there want out so bad but they're stuck because nobody wants to go in there either. 6 legs a day in a CRJ-200 for minimum credit will have you rethinking your choice. You'll probably end up quitting and just going to Endevor anyway so you might as well just start in on it.

Sorry I’m new here, but what does minimum credit mean? The recruiters (I know) told me the CRJs fly 82 block hrs a month. I live 30 mins from ATL, and if I go EDV I’ll be stuck in NYC for a year, and then by the time I get a line at ATL I could potentially be a Captain at SKW. As long as the ATL base isn’t announced to close, I think it would be my best bet if I can live with short legs.

Minimum daily credit is 4:12 a day for us. That's the least amount of credit you'll see on a regular trip per day. Average credit per day is a little over 5 hours.

82 hours a month. Pure BS. Average line credit system wide is closer to 90 hours a month. The senior guys bid down and the junior guys make up the difference.

The CRJ flies shorter legs. 1/2 hour to an hour flights are common. A half hour flight might only block 1 hour. It takes a lot of flights to get your monthly credit. The CRJ7/900 and ERJ175 typically have flights that last twice as long..

Bases will come and go, especially at a subcontractor (regional). Don’t ever let that be your main decision factor.

What bases offer more 700/900 routes?

Can anyone else confirm or deny this mentality? Is it the worst base by far as stated? Everybody wants to get out but they're stuck? How much do these short legs really affect ATL pilots in terms of building hours?
