I find there is a significant amount of information posted here that differs from what I have experienced and have wondered from time to time if the SkyWest I work at is in fact different than the one that gets written about on here. I wouldn't want to work at the one described on here based on what I've read - I'm glad I don't.
Regarding ATL, I've flown with several people there who really liked it. Several from my new hire class went there right out of training last year; perhaps they can share their perspective.

atl is one of the most jr ca bases for a reason. the flying is all 200, mostly just ATL turns (kinda rare to flow through another base) and usually 16 leg 4 day trips that pay 19-20.5 hours. expect min days off and 85-93 credit once you are off reserve. while i dont think ATL is in danger like LGA is, i am a bit skeptical about the future of this base. for those that do have to commute, ive heard ORD is by far the easiest

As a general rule, if you read something negative in the SkyWest forum on APC, it's almost certainly true...for the person who posted it.

One thing is for sure. We need to close bases. Too many bases at Skywest and the pairings are the worst in the regional industry. Sick of flying low credit multi day trips just week in and week out. Getting old calling in sick all the time just to get time off.

Absolutely true. But it still bears repeating, now and again, for those who are "on the outside looking in" and may not pick up on that dynamic.

I've been saying this for years. All the outstation bases really dilutes the pot of available pairings. Sure a handful of seniors in each base get the dream job of a turn everyday but 95% of the rest of crewmembers get 15 hour 3 day and 18 hr 4 day garbage. Now with 90hr min credit lines 4-4day pairings is not enough so you get to add on another couple days somewhere to fill out your awesome month.

A 4 day should pay 22hr of credit min, that would cover the >87 hour average line credit required in PBS for most crewmwmbers.
