Just be mindful and take into account that UAL pilots now have JS priority above all SkyWest pilots on all other UAX except your own metal. Plan your commute accordingly.

Well. There super secret “must ride” priority they didn't want to explain.. but would have been hard to get out of the manual if we had signed that... time will tell if they use it on UAX-Ex carriers . but thats all in the past. Thread closed on that one..(lets not start that argument agian!!)) go read it if your bored.. fact is commuting in tuff. Never foes as planned... sometimes you win. Sometimes you loose... the price you pay..

Not true. On UAX flights operated by SkyWest, Republic, GoJet, and Mesa, UA and UAX Pilots have exactly the same priority, based upon time of check in.

Believe, what you want, but we don’t positive space in the Jumpseat. Heck, we can ( I have on several occasions) decline a dhd in economy. They will either, rebook you in econ+ or higher, dhd you on a later flight, or lay you over(change the pairing).

This isn’t SGU’s interpretation of “if asked to ride in the Jumpseat to accommodate......” means you will or you will be re-educated by your CP.

Can anyone speak to time frames of holding a line on the ERJ (FO) in SLC, SFO, DEN? Those seem to be the junior bases out west at least from what I can gather. I understand things are changing pretty dramitically out west at this time but any kind of general time frame would be great?

If I’m reading your response properly, I think you’re missing the message here. At United, IF the pilot has a positive space ticket, and IF the Captain allows it, and IF the flight is full and by PS’ing in the cockpit it gets another standby on, THEN, under these narrow circumstances, a PS pilot could sit in the Jumpseat. What we don’t allow is for agents to use OUR Jumpseat as the company’s bandaid for overbooking. If another garden variety jumpseater is listed in the cockpit, on a full flight, no Captain worth his salt would allow a PS pilot with a confirmed seat in the back to ride in the cockpit if it would bump a regular jumpseater. That’s just **** poor. Hope this makes sense.
