ATL Base -- Flying and Reserve
Going to be starting with SkyWest soon. Will be bidding ATL out of training. I am wondering what type of trips the ATL base is flying. Is it mostly out and backs in and out of ATL or do you make your way around the system? Where do they typically overnight?
What does reserve look like at the moment? I will be commuting from MCO.

Mostly in and out of Atlanta with some trips that flow in and out of Detroit and MSP. Just look at the Skywest route map for Atlanta for Delta and it will answer you question. Orlando is to bad lots of options. Southwest can be better then Delta. Best part of Orlando you can get to any base direct and pick up trips to have different flying. Last week I picked up two trips out of COS for some West Coast Flying. Try doing that at smaller regionals. Best of Luck

Also commutability is pretty much a non issue, you can get to ATL by 645am and the last flight home is at 10:30-11:30pm depending on the day

And 18 more 700/900 to be added to the fleet next year alone = tight staffing even with hiring 100+ a month. Plan on flying a ton at SkyWest little reserve time on the CRJ and max working lines for everyone. but then at Endeavor you get to fly planes with engines leased from SkyWest!! There is no escaping it...
