Just a quick question to the group. I just got called for an interview in a couple of weeks. What kind of questions can I expect regarding flight operations and what would be a good study source. Thank you. JP

Just wondering, how long ago did you submit your app? Trying to get a lead time on phone calls for interviews.

Quick cheat sheet for ya:

Q: What is a first officer's most important responsibility?
A: During taxi-in on the last leg of the day, call the hotel van and make sure it's on its way.

Q: Why is the crash axe located behind the FO seat?
A: So that in the event of smoke and fire, you can grab it, whack the captain upside the head, and steal his/her smoke hood.

Q: What two things in the cabin must you never, ever touch?
A: The flight attendants.

Q: In order to upgrade to SLC CA or sim instructor, what sacred rite must you go through?
A: The ceremonial shaving and polishing of your head. (C'mon folks, you know it's true. At least it seems that way.)

Q: Is it appropriate to wear the uniform hat as an FO?
A: Don't make me come over there.

Study the stuff they sent you... You did get an email with four documents attached correct? With a grasp of the basics, knowledge of your current gig and some study on what they send you'll be GTG.

It's a VERY low threat interview.

Thanks for the responses, I did get an email with a link to Intro to Jeppesen Charts, and a list of other basic parameters. Just want to make sure to do a proper job. My current flying job is Part 135 flying 206's into the back country, lots of mountain scud running and turbulence that can knock your kidneys into your ears but no charts or IFR procedures so got to get my head around that again. It took about a week from application in to receiving a call for an interview. Thanks for the advice.

I thought I posted this but do not see it. So Thank you for the responses, just want to do a proper job on the interview. I'm currently flying Part 135 in 206's carrying people and gear onto the back country. All mountain flying, lots of scud running and often times turbulence that will put your kidneys into ears but no chart or IFR stuff. It was about a week from the time I sent in my app and receiving a call to set up the interview, thanks again.
