If you got to Endeavor, you will either be assigned NYC or DTW. The majority of new hires go to NYC. The assigned split has been primarily the 900 even though a few classes this summer have been given the 200 due to the folks currently in the 200 are done with their seat lock (18 months) and are moving over to the 900.

The reserve sit for NYC is 12 months and ATL is currently 14 months.

The last set of new hires who switched to Atlanta was this June and the plug is a Jan 2019 hire.

There has been no new 2019 hires in Atlanta since then.

I am unable to comment about SkyWest

So what I am gathering, Endeavor would be a better place to work/fly and a little more pay BUT I would be in NYC for over a year.

vs.

Take my beatings at SkyWest but drive to ATL to start all my trips right out of training. No commute.

No commuting is going be worth more than the few extra dollars at 9E.
Also, you’ll get considerably more hours at OO and most likely be upgrading sooner.
If you were flying herc’s with the Air Force (judging by your tag) you’ll probably get picked up by a major shortly and the 121 thing is just an addition to your resume.

A non-commute while waiting on DAL/UAL/AA/UPS/FEDEX and quicker upgrade time sounds like a better option to me.

This^^ Although it sounds like OO CRJ class is full until spring, which by then everything will have changed in regional world.

ATL flying consists of 5 or 6 legs a day in a hot often broken down
CRJ-200. Save yourself some miserable times and fly the CRJ-900 at an industry leading regional.

I don't think it would take to long. Not a lot of FOs want it. It's also 900 instead of 200 flying now.

This forced upgrade of up to 400 FOs system wide is going to create a lot of movement.

Any updates to Endeavor vs SkyWest ?
ATL basing is my priority for quality of life, I don't mind the grind since it helps the hours jump. ATL is also fairly junior for SkyWest FO's. Also, knowing that Endeavor is slowly transitioning from ATL ops to more NYC ops makes me lean more toward SkyWest. Endeavor does have flow to delta after four years...but honestly the way things are at Delta and other majors, I feel like off the street in two years could be an option.
I don't have the full picture, but updates points to consider would be appreciated.

1 FO was awarded ATL in December. Denver and Detroit have the most vacancies on the CRJ side for OO. It may take a a few months but at least it's an option...for now.
