Default Waitlist for Training

Any update on if people off the waitlist are getting into classes. I'm on the waitlist with very little communication or indication as to whether I will get into these next few CRJ classes.

Current class date is early November. Interviewed in early June.

I am on the wait-list as well; been on it since mid-August, I believe. Minimums are met and have the flexibility to leave at the drop of a hat. Just waiting for that phone call...!

I interviewed late May, got a late November class, and lucky me got a call to start early June. I'll be done with training this week, fingers crossed!.

Interviewed/hired early May. Still on a waitlist ERJ and CRJ, I'd take first available. They confirmed me a CRJ class for Mar 2020. :/ I agree, very little to no communication about where someone is on the waitlist. Hoping to hear something soon.

This seems to be a common theme with most regionals.

Any downsides to interviewing about 6 months before reaching minimums if you want the ERJ?

CJO is good for a year is what I have been reading.

Things may have changed, but in years past you weren't able to even apply, let alone interview, before reaching the hiring minimums.

Actually, disregard. I see in another thread there are pilots interviewing early. I'd say go for it, if that's the case.

My, how times have changed. I was denied scheduling an interview at an in-house expo because I was three hours short on multiengine time, even though they were scheduling interviews a month out.

I called my contact in the pathway program. Ideally they would like to get the interview done a few months short of ATP mins so you are not waiting around for a class date after hitting minimums.

I interviewed mid June, initial class date was CRJ for Nov. then got moved up to mid September, then end of August. I opted to switch to ERJ and was waitlisted. I just got the classdate for end of October. Things are moving. (I decided for west coast ERJ would be the better option after the Delta announcement).

I’ve heard that if you waitlist for one type and not both you have priority since the others already have a classdate of some sort.

It's now the new normal, I got really lucky and interviewed the week before the new TA got approved that bumped the FO pay. They asked me, i mean asked ME twice if i could take a CRJ class date a week later. Said no to holdout on other things. I asked for a date the start of February. I was hearing things that class numbers dropped to around 15-20.

Interviewing on the 17th and after looking at aviationinterviews.com its looking like majority of people that got hired in the past 2 months are waiting til march/April 2020 for a crj class.. All those already meet mins. So not sure if it's contracts at current job that's holding them back or not. Erj is looking like January. I'll be meeting my mins by my interview date and looking for the ac that allows me the soonest Class. I can't believe how the wait has happened just over a few months.
