1. Own metal (the express carrier's pilots 2. Mainline and other express carriers, first come first serve 3. Other airlines. United decided on a new system and didn't come to an agreement with SkyWest, Republic, and Mesa. The new system drops SkyWest's priority significantly. a It now looks like: 1. Own metal 2. Mainline 3. Express exclusive operators 4. Express non-exclusive (airlines that fly for United and at least on other airline) 5. Other airlines United ALPA has declared that we don't have a valid jumpseat agreement with them. SAPA is saying the same as well, though for different reasons. Where are you getting this from? I just looked at a United pilots MEC blast and the priority list is not what you've posted. |

Because they wanted higher priority for themselves. It also allows them to promote certain airlines that work exclusively for United. Now they're upset that certain express carriers aren't bending the knee and going along with United's demands.

Be advised that the Skywest Airline Pilots Association which represents Skywest Pilots has decided to pick a fight with United, ExpressJet, Air Wisconsin, and Commutair Pilots. They are denying us the jumpseat.
I would recommend steering clear of Skywest until this issue is resolved. There is a lot of hiring going on right now and you really don’t want to get in the middle of this food fight. |

You’ve got nothing better to do with your free time CPP? Some time away from the APC forums will do you some good.

Not even your coworkers like you, go read some of your xjt threads. It must be sad. |

Stay away!
This jumpseat issue is getting ugly. Jumpseats are being denied. Career progression is being threatened.
Plenty of other options right now. Avoid the dumpster fire. |
