BNA Domicile?
Hey y'all,
Any truth to the recent rumors (ongoing for the past 5 years) that BNA will be made a crew domicile? Have heard LGA is going away and that they're looking for a new mid/east coast domicile. Would make some sense with BNA already having a huge MX presence with the new hanger. Thoughts?

According to the hotel committee reports we average more hotel rooms there per night then any other station. That, plus the MX hangar makes it a prime candidate for a base.
The issue is from what I have been told the overnights are split between the CRJ and ERJ fleets so it's not worth it to open a base there. If all the overnights were on one fleet it would have already happened IMO.
There is an argument for "economies of scale" here: adding a fleet type to a domicile is cheaper then opening the domicile for the first time. So eventually the company may just decide to have both, but IMO unless hotel costs climb that won't happen.
