Here’s something to consider that happened some time ago.
British Airways 777 has a double flame out halfway inside the marker on the ILS and touches down just prior to the runway. Everybody lives.
Pretty cool headed crew I’d say.
Then party pictures started showing up of the (youngish) Captain and pretty FA’s. Hotel room parties and shower pics.
I don’t think he ever flew again.

According to the Wikipedia article, the Captain authored a book about the incident and then did return to fly with BA in 2010.
