Realistic Income Boost After Upgrade?
Let's say one upgrades in a CRJ200 base in their 2nd year. They typically grossed between 5k and 7k monthly because they fly a lot.
What can the same person expect to make as a 2nd year CRJ CA if they fly a lot? Anyone who has upgraded in their 2nd or 3rd year willing to share any numbers? Thanks! |
Honestly you can earn pretty close to the same holding a good line as an FO, vs being a jr captain on reserve not breaking guarantee.

What is a realistic annual income for a 2nd year FO with the new payscale?. By realistic I mean picking up and flying your as off but in a sustainable way.

Basically what I'm getting at is how hard would it be for a 2nd or 3rd year CA to be doing 100k+?

I grossed $98K the year I upgraded. Went to class in January, done with IOE beginning of March. -- And that was 16 years ago. |
Thanks for the info. Second part to my question - do any of you who've bought houses know if mortgage lenders only go by minimum guarantee, or do they average your monthly income?
So if I'm making 80 bucks an hour, my minimum salary is roughly 70k. But if I earn far more than that, will the bank factor that in? |
should get close to 100k as a jr CA if u include bonuses, assuming a full year at CA pay (without including per diem). year 3 CA pay next year is around $80/hr. and if you will be a jr lineholder on the east coast you will probably get 88-95 hrs/month. 6 bonus checks will be around 8-10K depending on our profitability and how much you work

They usually ask for a few paychecks. And thats it. Never had to explain pay. Just get a good few high credit checks before you go in..
