honestly depends on the CPA “capacity purchase agreement” they have with there partner. In the past the wholly owned had larger cuts then the non wholly owned. For example. OO may have a min block hr limit with United. They can fly them less but have to pay the min... But Envoy may not. AA could drop the flying to zero with no consequence... |

Any stories on any type of slow down or suspension in recruitment yet?
I see some other regionals are slowing up or stopping classes all together in some cases but as far as I can see we are still hiring at full speed - as of today anyway. I assume the new airplanes are all still coming with a need for staffing them at the rate classes are happening and given the rate of attrition will likely be extremely low for the coming months. |

Can't verify the validity, but I have heard a few guys saying the AA wholly owned regionals are hitting the stop button or are planning to very soon.

I wonder how many pilots and FAs (not just at SkyWest) close to and over age 60 may decide to take leaves of absence or possibly even retire early given the CDC and WHO are stating the dramatically increased danger for folks in that age range and up, can't imagine a lot of guys or gals wanting to be coming into a likely highly infectious environment every day waiting for this to blow over. |

UA just sent out an email saying to expect furloughs and other cuts. The other legacies will follow. Regionals will be right behind them. Let’s hope everyone has an emergency fund of 6 months to a few years in hand because that’s how long this is going to be.
