Future of ATL
Hi everyone, very much new to the forum. Been at OO over 2 years. For a while, I was looking at moving from my current domicile to ATL. Now, I am aware of Delta restructuring it's regional flying between us, Republic and Endeavor. With them wanting OO to focus mainly out west and the recent closure of LGA, I can't help but think that ATL could be on the chopping block in the near future. Not trying to start rumors since I don't have any facts, but I am wondering if any ATL crews here have heard anything, or anyone know if management has commented on the longevity of ATL as a base.

I really think delta wants more than one regional in Atlanta. It keeps the pressure on, and gives them options if something happens. I've heard people say edv doesn't have enough 200s to even fly the stuff OO has in ATL.
Who knows. I can tell you that OO flying has remained the same, if not grown a little in ATL.

I’ve heard rumors that 9E is going to (or wants to?) take our -200s in ATL, but that’s a rumor. Even if it were true, with them just opening a CVG base and gaining GJ’s 700s, I don’t believe they have the staffing to take over at least 20 more airplanes in ATL. Perhaps way down the road (past 2020), I could see Delta pushing us out.
