Default Open Time

There's a metric ton of it right now. With all of those on leave, it will be interesting to see how this will be handled. I really hope things don't get much worse...I'm hoping we all keep our jobs through this. But it does appear we have flying to do...

Honestly man, I’m not going to try and be insulting.

However, if you cannot see why it’s not the time or place to talk about open time when people are on the street and worried about their jobs I don’t know what to tell you.

That wasn't the angle I was going for at all. These are SkyWest forums and I'm talking about something specific within SkyWest . No need to be a drama queen.

I don't think anyone took that to mean we are operating normally WITH extra flying.
April was set up so most of us are on reserve to be assigned whatever they cobble together. Plus overtime pay has been removed, there is no incentive to assign these trips to a reserve early. If someone wants to work more they can and the reserves remain available.

All those trips are in open time so RSV peeps can proffer for them before they get assigned.
If you missed it, all the DL and AA flying for April is in open time and all crews are on RSV.

Got it. That was basically what I was wondering about.

If you’re not at SkyWest, you really need to wait for others there that know what’s going on before you hit enter.
