My flights have gone from around 0-5 booked pax a flight to averaging 20 up to 30 on virtually all my trips in the last 4-5 days and looking at trip sheets coming up, the trend appears to continue. I am not suggesting a miraculous rapid recovery is underway and maybe there is a very unexciting and explainable reason for it, such as pure coincidence, but I found it interesting to see none the less. Hopefully folks are slowly starting to get the itch to fly again.

I don't think it's pure coincidence. Based off TSA's published numbers, passenger screenings are up an average of 15% for each day this past week as compared to same day a week prior.

Tough to draw long term conclusions from it, but it doesn't seem to fit with the worst case scenarios.

A lot of flights have been consolidated as well, so there is that...

I love how every station I go thru still has 17 TSA agents at each checkpoint... gotta love the government.

First trip back from LOA last month and I got randomed at the end of a 4 day, good decision not to partake in legal weed. Flight loads seemed slightly higher than when I finished up at the end of March but I'm guessing that had more to do with only having one flight a day to most of the destinations now. I'm definitely enjoying the schedule with more days off though; it beats the hell out of being worked to death by the normal schedules.

4 on 2 off 6 on 1 off, yeah it's nice not to have that for a little bit especially as the weather is getting better. I can either look at it that way or be miserable worrying about being furloughed

No I didn’t, why how would that have helped?

PBS is how you bid for your trips. If you don’t, then you will get whatever is leftover and it will likely max out your schedule. I’m as junior as they come, a two year FO, and I regularly get layer 1 and layer 2 trips. Max block with the most days off.
