Hello,

I'm a mainline Delta guy, wondering if anyone can answer a question about entering Canada, since the travel restrictions kicked in. I have to go thru there and wondering if aircrew are being asked questions out of the ordinary or restricted in anyway?

If you're a Canadian Citizen, you might be deemed essential worker if you work the flight or if you have a primary residence in Canada and commuting back to that residence. Otherwise, you will be required to self isolate for 14 days on arrival, even if you're a crew (non essential worker if you don't qualify for the 2 situation above) and won't be able to leave before the 14 days.

If you're not a Canadian citizen and have a valid reason to travel, you will be required to self isolate for 14 days and not be able to go back to USA. US customs are enforcing the Canadian quarantine act and will refer you to the police if you try to leave before 14 days. If you don't have a reason to travel, they will probably denied entry.

It took me a while to figure the system, I'm a dual citizen crew member with a home in both countries and it's still a pain every time I try to back.

The quarantine act in Canada is what dictates the travel restrictions right now.
