I'm a chronic optimistic person, but I pushed myself a little bit in this circumstances. Better a rush with a paycheck and somewhat stability to my current situation at skywest.
I'm resigning this week actually, gotta do some quick research about a potential 1 year LOA, if that's even an option. Who knows if cargo will die in 1 year and passengers start flying.
But if I have to choose, then no more Skywest for me.
Kinda tired of getting type ratings though lol.

I had the same dilemma, but not another career to rely on. Added 'drama' since I was coming from an OJI, OFF without pay status, and barely 800 FOs junior to me.
So I did what I thought it'll be best for me, and got hired somewhere else to fly cargo.
Will it be the best for me long term? Go figure. But short-term, I'll be able to pay my bills.
Other choice would be to stay here at Skywest, don't get paid until all training required is done, and maybe get furloughed.
I choose pay bills

Uncertainty sucks!. Getting furloughed sucks, but if you know what is going on, you can make well informed decisions, but if you don't know then....oh well.
Skywest management is smart, that we know. Maybe they did the math and thought they'd rather lose a money short term but have enough trained pilots to surf the wave, whenever that wave comes? Go figure.
