I'm resigning this week actually, gotta do some quick research about a potential 1 year LOA, if that's even an option. Who knows if cargo will die in 1 year and passengers start flying.
But if I have to choose, then no more Skywest for me.
Kinda tired of getting type ratings though lol.
you should be able to get into training in July. Not 100% on that but I know it might be available. If not.. hey boxes don’t.. uh.. complain or get sick!

Will it be the best for me long term? Go figure. But short-term, I'll be able to pay my bills.
Other choice would be to stay here at Skywest, don't get paid until all training required is done, and maybe get furloughed.
I choose pay bills
Wise choice. It wouldn't have been a bad move 6 months ago. Boeing time in the logbook won't hurt.

Just checked, 250 is correct.
Buddy of mine said he heard "some" TRG guys have been getting word of resumption of class dates from the training dept...not verified but hopefully it could be true!

That's what I thought, worst case scenario I add a type rating. Only time will tell.

Yup, I was told some of the guys who hadn’t completed LOE and are still new hires were getting contacted. But this is third hand information so just hope it is correct.

I can’t even imagine continuing new-hire training when flying has been slashed to the bone. I guess management knows something we don’t.

Yeah I would have thought so as well, no argument there. Purely third hand information so not sure on the accuracy.

Uncertainty sucks!. Getting furloughed sucks, but if you know what is going on, you can make well informed decisions, but if you don't know then....oh well.
Skywest management is smart, that we know. Maybe they did the math and thought they'd rather lose a money short term but have enough trained pilots to surf the wave, whenever that wave comes? Go figure.
