Listen to Meow, he’s right on the money. In fact SkyWest’s base in Houston is going to be closed by June 1st 2021. SkyWest is going to be forced west.
Denver will be the farthest east domicile and that will lead to all the massive furloughs that are coming.
At least 50% furloughs by summer 2021.

I'm not sure what exactly he's referring to, but a while back we decided not to take any more 900s from DL and instead made an order for ERJs. This is when the Atmosphere 900s were starting to come online. I forget the exact number. Either we have 25 and said no thanks to the rest, or the order was for 25 and we received some of those and then said no thanks. Either way, we only got about half of the DL 900s and the rest of the options were sent to Endeavor. But assuming meow is referring to something else entirely, the slow trend over the years has been to ERJ, and Skywest's trend has been to finance planes themselves whenever they can. They're coming, and they're going to keep creeping into CRJ bases (not that it's a bad thing).
And in a general response, it shouldn't surprise anyone when the 175 gets based in IAH, I'd almost bet money by summer 2021. Also someone earlier in the thread postulated DFW AA 175, but big doubt. With the announcement at the beginning of the year, I assumed the obvious answer was ORD and some LAX, since we already have the crew bases there. Likely to flow through DFW and PHX. According to a tug driver in SGU last month, they had been gearing up for the 175 to be doing PHX-SGU route once it came online but obviously that got pushed back. I try not to take stock in rumors, but it was interesting to hear that. I think with LAX being as drawn down as it is, the AA 175s will go to ORD. They will flow through the AA system, just as LAX DFW ORD and PHX trips all overlap. Kinda doubt any AA growth for us in LAX with the Alaska and Jetblue codesharing. And the DVR has had PHX and DFW growing every single month, and recent communications from the top have also backed that up. And then there's the 20 700s we're bringing back. So in summary, my spidey senses expect the 175s go to ORD, the CRJs stay mostly DFW and PHX, and it's real hazy for LAX (but I don't really expect any CRJ or ERJ growth there unless AA and the flying public spring back).
