Maybe that went off the table once pax numbers started to pick up again and the company that is leasing the airplanes became a little more financially secure.
If CC could make more money flying the 550’s he’d done such long ago.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Stop salivating at 550’s there are way better flying contracts out there. Aka 8 Alaska 175’s 175’s for AA. Ect....CC is perfectly happy making money off the leases and not dealing with the East coast flying...

Study the SOPM for CRJ.
Thanks! Missed the ERJ part. Guess I should slow my reading down a bit.

I don’t think there is any interest in more East Coast flying.
Exactly, the 550 is an east coast jet. We won’t be flying it. I would not be surprised to hear United wanting us to be the sole subcontractor of those jets, but that would require a reversal of moving our entire operations west, which probably won’t happen for financial reasons.

Working through the online application there is a spot to upload a portfolio. I'm not sure what would be included in a pilot portfolio and researching it doesn't come up with really anything to speak of. I have a cover letter and resume submitted already. I've never seen a pilot application with a portfolio requested. Is that something they want for pilot apps?

I just uploaded my digital logbook. When I submitted my application the first time, I went back to check on it about a week later and it had gone back to being un-submitted. The only thing I hadn’t uploaded was a “Portfolio.” So I added a PDF logbook and got an email for a self-paced interview within 3 hours.

I was told to make a PDF of any letters of rec, copies of my aviation documents (certificates, passport, medical, etc.) and flight time totals (Total time, PIC, Multi, etc.)

Don’t believe you are required to submit anything, but that’s what I did and they somehow gave me a job.

Take that as you will and good luck!

Take this with a grain of salt but I didn’t upload a portfolio, in fact I didn’t even upload a cover letter, and I still got the job. Probably wouldn’t hurt to add what others have suggested though, may help.
