Lol I’d say your chances are going to be very good of being awarded DFW while in training, we need bodies in DFW and IAH, both CRJ only bases. We only fly CRJ700’s out of DFW.

Thanks for the reply! I’ve got 3.5 years previous 121 on a CRJ so would hopefully be a smooth transition, though I’ve been out of aviation for a few years while living overseas, but will be current when I apply. SkyWest definitely my top choice for regional.

Wow that didn’t take long, all 7 awarded DEN. We’ve gained A LOT of flying out of Denver lately on the 175. If those AA 175’s go to LAX at the end of the year it may work out perfect for you. Either way, you should be able to hold LA fairly quickly even if it’s not initially out of training.

I even had to serve some time in DTW before I could hold ORD, then of course 2 classes behind me, half the class was awarded ORD.

That was quick! Okay, so if I don’t get awarded LAX out of training, what would I potentially get awarded? Just wherever they need at that time?

Yes most likely. Domicile bids are awarded monthly so in that case you just leave your LAX bid in until you’re awarded the new domicile. It shouldn’t take long if you’re not placed in LA out of training.

I was not the biggest fan of commuting myself, but it’s easy to suck up when you know it’s only temporarily.

LA is a safe bet right now.. still AA 700’s coming, AA 175’s.. LA for all partners is still below 2019 departures, but increasing. (The nest just opened back up)...

For those currently with SkyWest, which would you say will lead to quicker upgrade - CRJ or ERJ? How about for FO basing at ORD? Thanks

Also, has anyone had success switching planes after their initial offer but prior to beginning training?

I have. I was originally CRJ last year. Next month I’ll be in ERJ class
