Lugging around a 17" laptop is going to get old quick. You're going to want something light. If you'll want to use it on deadheads, then you'll also want 15" or smaller.

Plus one for Briggs & Riley. Nice to not look like a pilot when you’re out of uniform. Throw on a fleece and voila, you look like a civilian. Very light and lifetime global no questions asked warranty.
LW metal bags exist because until recently pilots had to carry a heavy bag of pubs everywhere and a metal frame may have been required to sling around that weight on a clip or hook. They are heavy too. However I’ve always heard good stories about the quality of the refurbishment ($$$) when folks send in their beat up bags. You basically get a new one back.
Costco has a good warranty and their $100 option would be my next choice.

I’m new here and haven’t started training yet, but is there some sort of discount for a certain luggage or is that something that we are on our own for? Can’t seem to find that info anywhere.
