On the profile for SkyWest it says new hires to expect upgrade in 1.5 years. I’m 3 years in and I’m still years away from upgrade selecting “Any” for my bid. Where did they get 1.5 years from?

Idk man have you heard of this thing called COVID where everyone almost lost their jobs?
You aware that upgrade time was in reference to CRJ, not ERJ? You have previous post’s where you claim you want to stay on the ERJ, and basically don’t believe in yourself to take the faster upgrade which would be the CRJ. Well guess what? ERJ was 3.5-4 years precovid and everyone knew that, because they explain that to you during the interview, training, IOE, and on the line. |

No, he/she turns down the quicker upgrade on the CRJ and now starts a whole thread to complain the ERJ upgrade isn’t fast enough.

I didn’t complain upgrade wasn’t fast enough. I was only asking where that 1.5 year number came from on the profile on this website after it showed it has been updated. It seems really inaccurate. Now I know that piece was not updated. It’s old and pre-COVID. That’s all I was asking.
Most other regionals still say 18-24 months. Upgrade times are going to be changing by the month. Btw you’re obviously complaining. |

Why do you even care? If you’re an ERJ or CRJ FO you know the current status of upgrades, we have all that information available to us via bid awards and standing bids more senior to us.

Is it recruiters that maintain the information in the airline profiles?

Barring another catastrophe like COVID, someone hired today will almost certainly have the opportunity to upgrade in 1.5 years. It might be to the most junior base on the junior aircraft, but I'd bet the December 2022 upgrade class has someone in it with significantly less than 1.5 years on property.
