Went back and reread the article with an analytical approach.
DEN-RDU-DEN Local supposed to be an 8 hour day. Really its 8 Hours flying for a probably 11 jour duty day. Due to severe weather Bypassed landing in Nebraska and Wyoming. Even Rapid city supports the 175, so why HDN? Reasons the crew or Dispatch had. Not going to second guess their decision. After sleeping the night in the airplane it departed for DEN 24 hours after leaving RDU. why not 18 hours after leaving RDU? Cause they needed to fly a crew in to take the not legally rested crew out, because there were NO hotel rooms available.
the real question is, when did their duty day end and how were they paid for this 30+ hour day? If I was never released to a hotel, my duty day is still active. FAR 117 says you don't need crewrest for deadheads. Pay up.

Just shut tf up. As if any union boys are going to have any solution to this bs anyways. They’re more worried about collecting that 2%.

If any of this ends up being illegal they’ll have a fall guy/gal for this, if not already, by the morning.

lol. I remember as a new hire a SAPA rep pushing the new TA on me. I was super confused why a pilot rep was pushing for what management wanted. Not trying to start anything because I know how this arguement goes, but my personal opinion…what a crock of ******* SAPA is. You can argue 2% union dues isn’t worth it, but when you really need them a union would be there to help. Not sit silent.

If you knew anything about this captain, you wouldn’t make these imbecilic statements.

Hey, I have an idea, instead of diverting to any number of airports on the way from the EAST coast, let’s divert to an airport to the WEST of Denver that doesn’t have hotels within a 35 minute contract taxi ride, all of which are probably full. THEN we can make a post on LinkedIn and talk to the media about why this was SkyWest’s fault!

This was a self induced error made by a pilot who is NOTORIOUS in the OO system.
