LOL for that to happen you would have to accrue close to 1600hrs of credit. For that to be even remotely close to 80k you would need to be picking up 20 hour 4 day trips at 150% every month. Even high credit locals rarely get awarded to the junior FO.

Closer to 1450 actually, maybe even a bit less than that, and that's assuming only straight pay.

You forgot to include bonuses and such.

I had ASE FOs on year 2-3 pay clearing $100k while working 10 days a month. They'd get displaced for training and then go pick up other Aspen trips at 150%.

Glad this thread is still getting feedback. From the sound of things, not many break 80k until upgrading to captain. But as a captain, it is possible to make 100k.

I think the real question is how small of a pay raise the pilot group is going to let go through during negotiations. When a near sub 30 year old majority rules the vote I think we are going to be disappointed unfortunately as the first thing offered goes through. Though I’ve been surprised before, I’ve also been disappointed time after time

This is hilarious. This pilot group is going to take just about any deal Chip throws out there and then brag in the hotels about " SKW covering the flying no one else can do" suuuure if thats what makes you sleep better. You walk around with a mainline mentality and fly for Cape Air rates!!!!

When is the vote/potentially new pay structure supposed to take place?

don’t pay attention to what they are saying. Anyone taking about new contract is probably not even working at Skywest.
our contract is up in 2022 and when we are hiring 300 a month there is no need, and I mean that as in ZERO need for the company to come back to the table to negotiate a new contract.
Everything and anything anyone says, including myself is just pure speculation…
