As the market in general plummets about 20%, maybe about 17%….

Wed Close $28.49
Todays price is $28.50
52 week low $22.78 back in March

Nothing really to see here. Market respected the profit in Q1

Listening to the Q and A was like a White House press conference with Jen Psaki. No direct answers or data on attrition or hiring. I don’t understand how someone could invest in this company when there’s so many better options like LUV (no regional feed issues) and Delta. They mentioned trying to lease parked 50 seaters to an EAS operation without a current CRJ program. Good luck with that one. “No better time to be a Skywest Captain” - because you have numerous opportunities to leave!

Those $25 strike price Puts not playing out well for you buddy? Your bear play will expire worthless. FYI OO is trading at the lowest P/E of any airline stock because your bearish theory has already been priced in. Not a smart move to short a stock with a healthy balance sheet that’s already been beat up.

When there very well may be a recession that will help SkyWest. If anything I'd be bullish.

The day a legacy announces that they are halting hiring due to economic factors is the day I will buy SkyWest stock. Until then, it's too risky.

I'm not buying either, but I'm also not buying puts. If there's a time to be neutral on regionals, it's now. The day majors stop hiring will be too late.
