I just heard they are making class sizes smaller so there will be less needing ioe to help get people through faster they said it was 2-3 months right now

I don’t know if anything, I have a class date in January so I’ll let you know and try to update on here when I learn any details.

Sounds like most of initial new hire training is on pause due to the junior manned CA's going through...they will more than likely have priority for IOE so if you are a new hire waiting for IOE I would expect it to be a very long time

Well, this post didn't age too well...

No it didn't. I really thought they would do the right thing. They didn’t. And it seems they will pay the price. (Continued attrition)

Yup, I don't think any of us really took the rumblings seriously. And then, poof! There it was.

If you look at the minutes from the earnings call, though, their strategy in regards to staffing is pretty clear. New hire classes are already filled well into 2023, so they have a full supply of new FOs. Since that's the case, they risk little by forcing senior FOs to upgrade or quit. If the pipeline was dry, they wouldn't be dumb enough to inspire hundreds of FOs, many of whom were quite content in that seat, to update their apps and GTFO...

This pretty much says it all…upgrade or leave…either balances the workforce in a way that favors the company. Deck is always stacked against pilots, and often against doing the “right thing.”
