I don’t think you understand what ALPA brings to the table. ALPA has lawyers and financial analysts who are highly skilled at identifying all the sleight-of-hand SkyWest management employs in every compensation negotiation, every policy change.

Last pay negotiation, we had people who were rank amateurs doing their best to try to calculate the net worth of the pay package after all the give-and-take. ALPA National produces an analysis—including comparisons against peer carriers—as a matter of course.

ALPA’s staff would assist in identifying the BS in any agreement, and best of all, the SkyWest ALPA MEC could tell the company to pound sand and walk away from negotiations if management stonewalled them. SAPA does not have that luxury.

yeah no…. I’ve heard that silly sales pitch 1000 times. It’s not true.

The last contract that FedEx ALPA signed actually saved FedEx money because ALPA got outmaneuvered in such an epically embarrassing way.

They bring nothing to the table that will overcome the fundamental mechanics of the regional industry.

A union shop would enjoy more consistent processes vis a vis labor issues, such as disciplinary.

I bet he’s a real gem to work with. Straight to the do-not-fly-with list…
