Speaking of metering, found out today that SkyWest is also metering their dispatchers that are trying to advance their careers to majors.

Good. One more group to add to the class action.

Default OO Attrition

SWA by far has the largest draw of OO pilots. Next is pilots Alaska, JetBlue and Spirit and a hand full have gone to legacies.
In respect to regionals, SkyWest is a good place to be, but a major or legacy is better.

I should mention this before I forget, I made this thread with the intent that you all should keep your eyes and ears peeled and work together when the time comes for raises. Don’t let your company push you around. I hope SAPA is up for the challenge.

My former company AA WO along with the others got massive raises and Endeavor is sure to follow. While Skywest is a good company too, don’t let that distract you from getting what you all deserve. Good luck!

Not wrong, at least not 100%, people are getting hired from Spirit that were Delta Connection pilots previously. Just because you don't know any personally doesn't mean it isn't happening.

Does anyone know with certainty whether UAL is metering OO and/or other UAX pilots?

Not with certainty but I can tell you what I know based on my collection of anecdotes. If existing at all, it does not appear to be on the same scale as Delta. A fair number of OO pilots have UA CJOs and appear to have been given class dates similar to non-OO people that interviewed around the same time. All my info is from within the past 6 weeks so not sure if it was happening before.

I can say without a doubt they are. I left earlier this year and a newhire classmate took the upgrade. He has multiple internals and more than enough PIC time. I left for a LCC and had an invite to interview before I even had my type rating. Even if I didn't get the call to a major I would've been much happier at a LCC with a livable wage and a union than I ever could have been at OO.

metering is not about If you get invited to an interview or not. That’s on you. Metering is getting a job offer and then being held back. UA does not do that. Only DL at the moment.
