Yep, saw it and hit delete. I did the company a favor a few weeks back on my day off. They felt the need to extend it into another day off and then give me a sad when I refused. That was the last thing I'll ever help out with.

I hope you filed a CSC in an objective, professional manner.

By June I'm betting you'll get a message that anything picked up out of open time for the entire month will pay time and a half.
By July 1 that will change to double time for anything in open time.

Every other DVR has been released around the 3rd week of the month for at least the past 6 months. Usually around the 20th. So coincidence that this one is released with the announcement right as the pay vote opens? Also, way smaller classes this round. Maybe they realized we need to get some new hires on the line first, or didn't want us to be short during the busy summer months.
I'm also curious to see how the Q1 earnings call will effect the voting, if at all. This industry is full of pilots willing to sell other pilots down the river for a few bucks. This may be the first time ever that pilots have the opportunity to sell themselves down the river, which is what year 1 pilots will do to themselves by voting yes.

Hahahhahaah. U.S. There is nothing professional about crew support anymore. I have a few people I talk to up there and they are sick over the way things are being done to pilots. They were even told if someone calls and ask for a specific person don't transfer them. They don't want schedulers and pilots getting along and someone actually being held accountable.

In the past they've liked to keep upgrade and transition classes during the summer to a minimum. Keeping those pilots in their seats and flying the busy period.
However, I've no idea what the plan for this year is.

Of course, you can't just look at the awards because sometimes someone will get a class, then get awarded a base transfer on the next DVR. This will show up looking like an upgrade because it will show FO to CA, but I don't think this happens very often. Mostly, I just look at the estimated vs awarded and try to guess. Plus talking to the people that get the awards and knowing how many are in the class. The latest one just looks like there is less CRJ estimated need, and more ER7 for ORD.
This is information that I would find useful on a monthly basis, like those newsletters we used to get. Or in a presidents update that we only get when people start *****ing about not hearing from SAPA. It would be great to see how many pilots left, CA or FO and where they went. Then also what classes were coming up, new hire and upgrades/transitions. But I get it, we keep our EB busy fighting PIC's that we solved last year, but now we need to argue the same thing with the company because we don't fix the holes in the PPM. That way CS can try again next year and see if anyone notices.

So basically, I can come fly and at least get 4 hours. If I sit reserve and don't get called, it will only be 4 hours not 6. And if CS lies to you (not that it ever happens, but if) and tells you that the trip is worth more, and it turns out that our pay policy (i.e. the way we have always done it) does not jive with those numbers, you will be paid less.
Oh and if you time out since we are awarding you 100 hours for May since you picked up this time and helped out the company, we do not have to pay protect you. I actually saw this on SWOL in the stupid crew forums. JO said if you have not picked up any additional flying in the previous 12 months, and you time out, you will be paid. Guess that means I can't help out this time. Sorry.

I heard United is going to have SkyWorst fly 747s for them out of SLC.
