Skywest
RA777 where in our PPM does it say you are guaranteed any time off? The only section I've read pertaining to time off is the reserve section which gives you 10 or 11 dependent on the calendar month length.
To my knowledge, limited obviously, I have not seen any resolute number of days off or more specifically days of unassigned duty. The only pilots with days labeled as off are reserves.
Pilots are constantly being awarded trips at MDG. Pilots of all seniorities. 85 to 100+ credit hour lines and no ability to drop a trip. At the MDG and no drops that easily takes you to less than 9 days off. If it were just the junior guys getting the terrible schedules, you'd have a debatable point, but it is occurring throughout my entire domicile.

Pay is a problem at Skywest, its a problem at every regional, regardless if Skywest pays more than others, its a big problem.
So, if its the company comes to the pilots with an offer when they want, what is stopping the pilots from coming to the company when they want? There's no CBA, so there's no set time table. Pilots go to the company and say WE want this. You don't even have to use the "U" word, they will figure that out by virtue of the pilots coming to them often enough. What are they going to do, make you work at a regional?

So now that the pay package has been voted down and instead of living somewhere decent i now can battle rats and gangs or gangs of rats to all the guys who voted it down thinking something better was coming.. well where is it? and what has your input been to get something better? just asking?
And yet you think you know how the rest of the pilot group should have voted?
Since we didn't get a raise last year, and weren't going to get a raise in 2 out of the 4 years of this package, you think I should of voted yes to take care of you.

The company has no obligation to negotiate union or not. Look how's it's gone for all the guys with a union. In order for a union to be effective a pilot group needs leverage which none of us currently have although I "think" it's coming.
It's not leverage against the regional management I'm referring to, but leverage on mainline management. However, if the feed becomes too expensive then they do the flying themselves. This is what most of us (regional guys) are hoping will happen.

heh so check..
the same people who voted down a pay increase know that
1. another offer will not come by for a few years thus helping nobody
2. the pay increase for them was not much but for 1st year FO's it would have helped allot but they dont care about them because drumroll please
3. FO's are entitled morons?
sounds about logical.
** still waiting for an answer to my question.. Did anyone propose a counter offer? If you told people to vote NO did you have some suggestions as to why and what ?

I'll give you a hint. It wasn't years.
If you can think past your first 12 months it might make some sense why this package was overwhelmingly turned down.

What are lines like for a junior guy in MSP and how many days off are people getting there?
10 days off per month, 87 hours on average in MSP. Absolutely horrid schedules.
Chazbird, SAPA has gone to the company countless times (as far as I know) and said "here is what we want" and each time the company laughs at us and goes "ya, okay."
