The farthest out I've seen is the Nov 28th Classes. Guessing there will be more after that though. What day did you interview last week?

I was in the 3/28 class, and I'm a solid RSV in my and basically any other base. At least over the winter. Had a line in July, so did half my class, in our various bases, but we are all middle of the road RSVs with the fall/winter decrease in block hours.

Expect a 6 months minimum, any base from when you get on property.

Just my guess.

How brutal is the RSV schedule? Are you flying a lot?

340 hours credit in 3 months. I don't remember the block exactly off hand, but 95h/mo is about right.

Unless you are in SAPA and know more than the rest of us, I was under the impression that this was initially growth, and then gradually replacing -200 stuff, but not entirely replacement.

Regardless, if jet scope tightens down at the major carriers (seems to be the trend for the future), Skywest needs these Q400s really bad. If pilots want jobs at Skywest, then pilots need the Q400 really bad and they need the rates to be competitive. Take a look at every regional airline in which pilots demanded premium treatment/pay, they are either gone or going. I'm not saying fly the Q's for 200 rates, but we gotta be realistic.

Scope is not going to tighten. I'm reasonably confident that current mainline pilots will not voluntarily give up any more scope, but when it comes right down to it the negotiating cost of getting rid of RJ's is far too high for those guys to pay...they would have to take a pay cut TODAY, and most are not going to do that. Especially the guys in the upper half of the seniority list.

Scope is like a cat in a bag...it's not going back in once it's out.

This is typical management bs. Don't make decisions based on fear SW pilots! Remember when they put the 700 up for a vote and the planes were announced THE FOLLOWING DAY. it didn't matter what the vote was. The Board knows what these planes are worth to the company. It's the pilots that don't know what they're worth.

These guys keep squeezing bout every penny they can. Inc will still make boat loads of money from these planes even if we demand 700 rates.

Hold the line!

Dude - You are part of the problem. SKW will get a bunch more respect if they do it for 700 rates. Be part of the solution and not the problem.

Hell if Horizon can make money with three quarters of the pilots topped out on the payscale I think Skywest should have no problem. With the younger work force you will still be the cheapest Q400 operator in the US.
