Sounds like things maybe tougher on the EMB side until summer draws to a close. But there are a lot of factors right now, so first things first, and then change and adapt as needed.

I give SkyWest credit when appropriate, but this all seems kinda shady to me.

So Kfahmi, since you and I won't hit the line October at the earliest, you might be okay. I still recommend CRJ to DEN, CINCHOUSE approved the plan as briefed!

Wow. So, nearly half of SFO Bro crews will be on reserve, and more than half of LAX FOs? :-0
I don't get it. It's not as if any airline could replace the Bros with RJs on those short routes (SFO-SMF, SFO-MRY, SFO-CIC as examples) and make any money. Yet I cannot imagine airline service suspended entirely to communities like CEC or ACV. But what do I know?

You don't know the legacy carriers management very well... They ended up closing the SMF and MRY domiciles because legacy management all of a sudden changed a bunch of the EMB flying to RJ's, this included your SFO-SMF and SFO-MRY examples.

What would a new bro pilot prefer now, a pay raise for 2nd year or removing a seat lock from 2 years back to 1? Just saying, upwards of 40% reserves now and losing 10% of airframes in a year (45 to 40). At least being stuck the pay is equal to a 200 I guess, which is equal to just transferring anyways. Oh the tradeoffs of the last pay proposal.

Can anyone pro/con the lax, den, iah, living in domicile on RJ reserve situation?

I can't imagine how anyone can make any money on an RJ flying SFO-SMF or SFO-MRY. In a Citation on that route (with a better climb rate than an RJ), you barely have time to climb to 10,000' before it's time to descend again. Given turbofan fuel burns, I have got to think the cost per seat mile on a 55-nm direct route flight in an RJ (OK, maybe 70-80 miles if you add vectoring, approaches etc), is ruinously high. But what do I know?

Crash pads aren't that far from IAH you'd prolly need a car but cost of living I'm sure is cheaper than lax or den and Houston is a great town in my opinion. Been living in IAH for a month on reserve it's nice and plenty of flying if you want it. Hope you boys like Mexico though... Haha It's not near as bad as people say it is.
