Apparently that is what they are looking for. I interviewed a couple of weeks ago. I had 3 internal recommendations, I was the only one there with 121 time, and I was given the thanks but no thanks with 3300TT 2500 Turbine 1200TPIC. :confused:

What they are looking for primarily is personality. The experience levels have been completely across the board, from flight instructors to experienced charter/corporate pilots to ex-121 pilots.

interesting....MH is about as good as you can throw him...oh well. its better out of the "way out west" part of the system. only wish they would talk alitte more instead of hiding behind the rumors. any ideas with the whole CLT base stuff? or is it BNA?

A CFI has to earn the job at that interview.

With your times, the job is pretty much yours as long as you don't really annoy them or blow the sim (if they even bother to give you a sim). Usually the problem is acting too cool for school or not preparing for the interview. Study like you would for a PC...I was lazy so waited until right after I had a PC before I applied and interviewed at SKW. Keep in mind that you will be an FO and will fly with CA's who have less TPIC than you...they need to feel comfortable that you can play that role for a few years. If they think you'll be a RSC, they'll just hire the CFI instead...they know he'll play the game. SKW is very captain-centric.

Not saying that to be harsh, but if you interview again that's what they are looking for.

Irish Flyer- I am about to be furloughed from TSA again.

Rickair- I did just that I studied systems and general stuff as well did not act too cool. As a matter of fact that is what my recs said to me before I went. The interviewers said I did a good job and noticed I prepared as he said I would enjoy working there so I don't know what happened in the end.

So as it appears right now - Eagle, TSA, ComAir, and Pinnacle/Mesaba/Colgan may all be furloughing pilots in 2012?

Yep. It's one big shift in flying and if you are junior at these places you are screwed.

Bummer. I've recommended a few friends who did well with the interview and for whatever reason were not offered the job. I have no idea why that is? One friend even interviewed again 6 months later and felt like the interview went as well as the first time and they ended up offering him the job. who knows?
