They threw away the hiring standards bar and included the "has a pulse and can fog a mirror" standard. They threw tidbits to the existing pilots and Hail Maryed the potential newhire crew. If there ever was an opportunity to cornhole them back for the last ten years it's now, this offer is proof.

And I agree which is why it should be rejected by a land slide. If they can offer at a minimum $6 but possibly $10 an hr over the current yr 1 rate they can most definitely offer more than the $.50-$1HR for the rest of the lot.
