Remember one thing 1/2 of the seniority list are Captains and 10-20% of the F/O list are soon to be Captains, so yeah it makes sense to give raises to the pilots who will not receive them. The ignorance and short sighted views like this, is the reason that the industry plays pilots like fiddles at a hoedown. Oh yeah those "multiple opportunitys to leave" were opportunities for multiple furloughs, so yeah keep on resenting the senior guys, see how that works for you.
P.S. Many of us spent more than half a decade in the right seat, with no upgrade on the horizon, so KMA.

JPs email says we get the PPS on top of the existing reward system.
That makes me go "hmmmm". Is SGU planning on long-term financial difficulties and are offering us a percentage of a loss in lieu of hourly raises? I fell for the Bro FO raise so I'm now suspicious of anything they offer other than cash on the barrel-head.

Hmmmmn,
Lesson learned, anything that doesn't hit your paycheck every two week is a Unicorn-Sasquatch hybrid mix. Second lesson, anything that comes out of SAPA/SGU has boobietrapped levers all over it. No trust but verify, it's now "Show Me the Money MFer"

To those who are interviewing soon; SkyWest has taken on a new hiring practice of hiring ANYONE who is qualified. They will interview and even if the interview team rejects you, the chief pilot will override it and you'll be in class. They are letting training weed people out. SkyWest needs people that bad.

And in today's market they will pay the full boat plus retention and will even offer the kitchen sink by the end of summer. Watching them squirm is funny.
They threw away the hiring standards bar and included the "has a pulse and can fog a mirror" standard. They threw tidbits to the existing pilots and Hail Maryed the potential newhire crew. After being here for as long as I have, this is the Mormon equivalent of running around in the desert waving their arms and screaming "the sky is falling, the sky is falling"
If there ever was an opportunity to cornhole them back for the last ten years it's now, this offer is proof.

And I agree which is why it should be rejected by a land slide. If they can offer at a minimum $6 but possibly $10 an hr over the current yr 1 rate they can most definitely offer more than the $.50-$1HR for the rest of the lot.
