Also looks like the more senior people (west coast) are starting to bid over. This award didn't seem to go as junior as some of the other ones, but I haven't had a chance to run the numbers yet. And yes I know there were a couple 5/2011 hires that got an upgrade, but there seemed to be more senior people in this one compared to the last couple.

Also, this is the slowest month of attrition I have seen in a while. 3 year FO here and I have been moving up on average between 30-40 numbers per month the last 6 months. This month...a measly 13 numbers. Attrition is slowing down for whatever reason.

I would vote NO on your pay package just for this reason.
"here, here, vote on this awesome package that includes profit sharing, but we're going to take $20,000,000 off of the number from which your profit sharing checks are calculated."
Corporate greed at it's best, you can never trust an MBA in a suit that only cares about their golden parachute and stock options

It's not rocket science. Senior FO's are just waiting until they can hold a line before upgrading. Now that it is a reality, over they come upgrading into the junior domiciles. Our upgrade times stagnate. I think it will sit no lower than 4 years for quite some time. Not that 18-24 month BS timeframe they are feeding new hires right now.

We lost 49 pilots last month (April) and 34 of those were FO's. The reason you are probably not seeing as much is because a bulk of those are from training. This last week has been the slowest one I remember in awhile. Maybe that is the number TG is looking at when he thinks that our hiring will be able to keep up with attrition??

definitely way more than meets the eye, but in my opinion, still is enough of a reason to vote no. If they're doing this now, what kind of games are they going to play with the numbers when it really comes time to write y'all your profit sharing checks? Which seems like the only real gain in this package from what i've heard

SKYW will never agree to anything they will have to pay out....
Dumb question, and I realize the much broader implications here BUT isn't the proposed profit sharing program based on SkyWest Airlines segment profit contribution only? (not XJET, or Inc.) In other words, wouldn't a stock-buyback program only effect Inc.'s bottom line (after SKW Airlines's segment profit has already been posted on the income statement?)
I think this is an important distinction, before everybody starts jumping off bridges here.
