Skywest
175 far better airplane to fly. Schedules whilst same in credit has better "big city" overnights, you won't be spending time in The middle of nowhere. The pay is better on the 175, all soft pay is at 175 rate. other little things such as always a jetbridge, typically longer flights etc are nice too. If you're junior and not in Iah you will be flying the 200 much more than the others.
However can you or anybody here confirm that if you fly the 175 you do not get Delta benefits as that would be a big deal for me.
Not sure I would even be given a change of aircraft as I'm sure everybody is probably trying to get the 175. How likely is my request for change of aircraft likely to be met at the moment.
I'm scheduled for a June 29 class in SLC for the CRJ as it stands. Anybody else make a request for the 175 recently and get it before they started their type rating.
I would do both if they would give it to me but I guess it is highly unlikely.

I'm very keen to fly the 175 and seriously considering a change of aircraft request from the CRJ to the ERJ.

New hires are getting putting into the -175 as it stands now. I'd just call them and ask. Worst thing they could say is no.

For now it has been doing the "long haul regional routes " .
That won't last, evident in the latest announcement of its new service. SFO-RNO turns and the like will continue to grow. A regional is a regional. How long the honeymoon will last will vary. Say hello den-cos.

Take the most junior equipment that will give you little or no commute. An airplane's an airplane.

Hey guys,
Does Skywest fly CRJs and 175s out of ORD? I am only asking because I want to be based in Chicago and my interview is next month. Thanks!

Dude - slow down and focus on the real prize for Skywest pilots: the MRJ............ If they can figure out the weights and conform it to scope limitations, maybe Skywest will fly it for Alaska (even though they have no pilot scope issues but other Skywest partners do) with SEA and PDX bases.... Ya never know....

If you want the 175
You will get to and be based in Chicago. In the June class there's oy one transition and I don't even think he wants ORD. you don't get delta
Benefits on the 175, there's rumors of us swapping 900s for 175s for delta but it's only rumors so I wouldn't count on it if you need them. You can still jumpseat if that helps. 175 has lots of movement in OrD, it is actually going more junior than crj because people don't want to transition and upgrade in one event so they hold out for their
Current equipment which is most often than not the crj. It's about 2-3 month difference right now. If you don't care what you fly I'd go 175 in a heartbeat, much nicer
Plane to fly, better pay and better schedule in my
Opinion
