SkyWest questions!?
 

Hey I am applying for skywest. I do not meet their 1000 tt minimum, does anyone know how likely they are to even interview me with 740 tt? i have 157 multi. Also I haven't gotten my atp written done yet, but only because I don't turn 23 until august 2013 and I want to make sure that it stays current. Also my 2nd class medical doesn't expire for two more months, should I just suck it up and get the required first class asap?

They won't interview you without a first class medical and 1000TT. Most people don't get interviews without the ATP written either. I had the minimums but didn't have the written taken. They told me to call them when I got it done to set up the interview.

Get the first class medical and ATP done ASAP to have the best chance at getting the interview. I've heard of some people being interviewed around 800TT but they may not do that anymore with the ATP rule going into effect.

They seem to be growing, so keep trying to fly as much as possible. Get the written done and First class asap. The less reason they have to not hire you, the better.

i am flying a lot everyday my time is going up fast, and I can't leave my current position until august i'm pretty sure by my hire date i'd have 1000tt and i will have those two things done in a week!

Hey skyqueen good luck with Skywest, please post back if you get a call. I am not to far behind you in tt and am also on the Shepard site studying. FYI I have heard of PSA also talking to people in the 800 range if they are also on your radar.
