The FAA tends to ride along a lot, one month I had the same FAA rider in the JS 4 times. He wasn't commuting he'd ride in and then ride back out.

All of the initial qual checks should be done by now. We double the number of crewmembers for Dec-Mar. ASE line checks are usually done on DEN-ASE flights, so I wouldn't worry about that on your flight to ORD.
ORD shouldn't be weight restricted unless we need to use Anti-ice for T/O out of ASE or ORD has an alternate.
