Question Attending a job fair = interview?

I'd like to take a poll on if you or even someone you know went to a job fair to talk to a recruiter and subsequently get an interview. Now, i don't think there is anyway to prove that going to a job fair equals getting an interview but judging from my conversations with people, 50% seem to think it helps and 50% thinks it's a waste of time/money.

I guess I could also take a poll and ask who DIDNT go to a job fair and got an interview?
Thanks

I've never attended a job fair and recieved invites to Delta, FedEx, and Southwest. I think continually updating your apps is the key and spending time making sure they are accurate, complete, and error free. Im sure if you go to enough job fairs and talk to the right person it might help, but it certainly isn't necessary if you meet competitive qualifications.

Avroman, did you get an interview at WN? There were a decent number of people who went to the last SWA open house who were called to interview not long after that event.

I'm mil and went to the SWA open house, and have not received a call yet for an interview

8/8 in my interview group had going to the open house. 7/8 in the morning session. It doesn't guarantee anything, but I'd say it helps.
