Default Talk to me about health insurance

What are the costs for health, dental, and vision insurance?? I have a family of four(wife, myself and two sons age 9 and 10). We are all in good health.

Thanks in advance all.

If you go with the Regular Plan, which the company will try to discourage...
Monthly premium: $0
Annual family deductible: $300
Annual Out of Pocket: $2500

The RP doesn't cover preventative care, but if you add up the cash rates of those services, you'll still come out way ahead compared to the other plans.
Those plans have significantly higher costs, including up to $12000 max annual out of pocket.

When you say preventative... you mean like taking a blood test to check for cancer or things like that?

I have two kids and a spouse with medical needs, so I'm on the Choice Plus or whatever plan with vision and dental. We have a lot of medical expenses, and monthly premium is about $600 for a lower deductible plan.

basic blood work yes, but I think that when you're at the point they are checking for cancer it would have crossed into the diagnostic category and would be covered. But someone else with more experience with the plan may have a better explanation.

Flu shots, for example, are not covered. But you can get them for free if you go to the right places.

So you're paying 7,200 a year in premiums and you haven't visited a dr yet? That doesn't seem to smart vs paying Zero per month and 2,500 max out of pocket per year on the regular plan. You need to do more research my friend. You're wasting your $$$ imo

All the plans have dental and vision. Go w the regular plan. Saved me thousands over the years.
