Thank you. I consider it an honor and privilege simply to interview. Been in this 121 world since pre-9/11. Grew up on a farm and I know what it’s like to scoop manure. I consider it time now to “graduate” from the regional and move on. I want to help them crush their competitors and have fun doing it :)

So you already have an interview? Then your quals and hours are good to go. Show up, be positive and sociable, make sure your paperwork is in order. Best of luck to you!

Haven’t interviewed yet but hoping to get an interview from this window. If not I’ll keep trying.

Your stats are similar to mine. Regional CA/LCA, 13,000 TT, 10,000 TPIC no blemishes other than early primary checkride failures. I applied in the last window, got the interview and the job.

Best of luck to you.

Has anyone gotten hired from the large cargo airlines, namely UPS/FDX recently? Would they take someone from one of these airlines if they were competitive for the job-- or has it been mostly RJ/military hiring?

Night flying is getting old.

I've never heard of anyone coming from UPS or FDX because usually the flow is the other way. Quite a few ex-SWA pilots at FDX right now. I'd have a long think about why that is before making a move UPS/FDX to SWA. Take a look at how early our AMs start and how late our PMs end, how much we block per year, and how many legs per day we fly compared to the cargo carriers. SWA is a great place to work, just want to make sure you understand what it is before you make a lateral move you might regret.

Two of my buddies at SWA said that they would leave SWA for one company... FedEx. Both have over a year on property.
Take that for what it's worth.

I know of guys with offers from FedEx who chose SWA, but haven’t heard of someone leaving

Are invites already going out from the most recent app window?

I had a new hire FO in my jumpseat about 6 months ago who left UPS as a 4 year FO. Sometimes it's not all about money.
