Worth a shot?

Been turned down twice at Southwest over the years...

What are the odds of a successful 3rd interview?

Thanks

I don't know the odds but I do know several guys have gotten in on their 3rd try. They like persistence. BUT, gotta self reflect and figure out maybe why not the 1st two times. If they call you in for interview, they already like your resume. It's all personality and scenario trainer from there. Good luck.

Are you going in cold turkey? Or have you been using interview prep?

I know of someone who was successful on their 3rd attempt. As has been alluded to, do some prep/coaching and self-reflection to figure out what went wrong on the first 2 attempts. Be prepared to talk about what went wrong previously, own it, and move on. The ability to self-critique is actually a key part of the LOI portion of the interview...good luck!

I was successful on my 3rd time.

I pretty much sucked the first two times that were just over a year apart.

Luckily there was very little hiring between 05 and now so I hardly missed any numbers :(

I am currently in new hire class and there is a guy in class who was successful on his 3rd attempt. there are several more, including me, who were hired on our second attempt. I say go from it! if you have friends at SWA, ask them to help you figure out maybe what it was that was missing the first 2 times.

good luck

If SWA is offering an interview, of course you have a shot.

Highly concur on this. Although I am new to Commercial Aviation, I can attest to the value of determination and self-critique from my military experience. Don't be afraid to mention what you have done SINCE previously applying to improve yourself and your value. Good luck!

Not SWA but have a friend that got hired at USAirways pre AA merger on his 4th interview. Happens... Anyway, apparently you’re doing something right to get a call more than once a LOT of people would kill for so go for it man. What could the downside possibly be?

Depends on how much you want it. The chances are 0% if you don't try.

Keep trying...it is a great company to work for!
