LGA nose gear destruction
Remember the LGA flight where the CA buried the nose on derotation? She should have been forced to watch this video. Its a GREAT refresher for all about derotation and how not do react to bounces and other things.

and heres the video of that landing from the pax perspective.
Can anyone say 50..40..30..20..BOOM!!!

That Cptn in particular was a huge problem child and a high avoidance bid. She had a long record of being a complete c*** to fly with and weak as well. You could have made her watch that video 10X over and it wouldn’t of made a lick of difference. She had no business being near airplanes.

So is she the female version of Marvin renslow with an attitude? Wouldnt the CP do a carpet dance with her after seeing all the do not pair bids on PBS? I'm guessing nobody wanted to fire her because she would play the I'm a woman card. Also how would she have reacted if she saw the crash from the pax point of view? She would prob be like oh it will buff out.

I was told she was fired, and did try to sue the company for a myriad of cards. Take your pick.
Don’t forget - the jumpseater was seriously injured.

The R1 and R2 door slides were deployed for egress, and the right and left overwing window exits were opened. The crew and passengers evacuated the airplane using the R1 and R2 door slides and the right overwing exits.
According to a cabin crewmember, the main cabin door (L1) opened about 6 in during the impact sequence. The cabin crew reported the left side exits were not used due to the presence of smoke on the exterior left side of the airplane that subsequently entered the cabin. Details of the evacuation are included in the cabin crew interview summaries in the docket.
they should have just inititated an evacuation as they used the slides to get out anyway. I could see the pax just saying yea DUH of course we are not there yet but we are getting out now.

It’s easy to MM QB the crud out of this one. Bottom line - this is a complex problem involving a known bad apple who didn’t like to play well with others. This crash isn’t the result of what happened on final at LGA, it is the result of the system under which we work and the unwillingness/inability of leadership to do anything about her.
There still exist boys and girls at swa (and I am sure they exist everywhere) who would not surprise me one bit if they had a similar incident. As a FO, I consider it my job to babysit these bad apples and protect myself, my passengers, and the company from them.
As for the evacuation - gimme a break. They did the best they could with the info they had.
