JS documents
So I was planning on JSing home from vacation last week on Southwest and since I live in base the need for my certificate and medical slipped my mind. I ended up with a longer two leg commute home on my own metal.
Could I have requested a verification of privileges via the FAA website and used a PDF document instead of paper certificates and medical? I know it's nonstandard but would it be acceptable? |

With seats in the back, I would take you with no problem. The actual jumpseat I unfortunately would deny you.
My ID Travel would have been another option to avoid a 2 leg commute. |
The PDF docs should be fine because they are acceptable in the US. You would have been cleared in CASS for security so this should not be an issue with the captain. Not sure who or why anyone asks to see the medical and I J/S with a temp once and it was no big deal.

Also as previous posters say, a seat in the back or booking a zed is also an option. |
