Default Current timeline for new hire to hold LAS?

Just curious about how senior of a base LAS is, as well as it's size?

Middle of the road seniority. It varies from class to class, but the junior LAS FO was hired on 8/28. Figure ~8 weeks in newhire class in Dallas, so he would have been in another base for only a month, if at all. As long as the hiring continues briskly, I wouldn't expect more than a few months' wait.

There are 396 FOs in LAS right now. Someone hired in June of 2017 is now bidding 78% down the FO list there. PHX is about the same. MDW, HOU, BWI and OAK would put him a couple of percent higher in relative seniority. The rest of the bases, he'd be more junior.

I think the issue with LAS as a new FO isn't really getting there in the first place, it's more that it seems like there isn't a ton of movement so you could be stuck near the bottom for a while. I got LAS just one month after PHX, only a couple months out of training. At LAS I'd still be just about at the bottom of the list while at PHX I'm far enough up that sitting reserve is a choice. Huge difference even though there was only one month's difference between when I could get to either base.

After 2 months bottom feeding at LAS (reserves Fri-Mon or Thurs-Sun, yay) I switched back to PHX in time to be able to bid for specific days off over the holidays. I don't know the reason behind it, but for whatever reason after just a few months I was a good distance off the bottom at PHX and still right at the bottom at LAS.

LAX will also change things somewhat especially if a lot of people end up there involuntarily.

if the Vegas plug is the guy from our class, he was the senior, wise old owl, of our class.
