Most classes have a mix of military /corporate /121 etc so I’m sure job fair will be similar, in what ratio no one knows.

FWIW, I heard Rocky tell attendees at a previous job fair that this is what they're looking for when they screen applicants:

1. Flight experience - quality, not necessarily quantity.
2. Education - yes, a bachelors is not a listed hard requirement, but he all but said you will not get called without one. Are there exceptions? Probably, but they would be few and far, far between.
3. Leadership experience - this is where military has the leg up, but there are certainly opportunities for civilians.

We could probably only guess at the qualitative/quantitative value of each factor, but I got the distinct impression that they were looking at the whole person, and not just hiring guys who had passed a certain TT or PIC milestone. I'm a mil guy who has pretty good representation in each category and I got the job fair invite with under 2500TT.

I agree with the above statement. There are many people here with considerably more hours than me. One of the guys that recommended me also said they are looking at the whole package, not just hours and ratings.

I wonder if they look at the profile of those who submitted the recommendation. Maybe some weight is given to a person recommended by only three pilots but those three only recommended one person each versus someone recommending 5 or more. Looks like I am trying to see how many times I can say recommended in one sentence.

This leadership experience, how is it getting evaluated do you think? By hand on the resumes themselves, via the letters of rec, or am I not remembering there being a leadership experience section on the application? Maybe it is tied in with your previous work experience section.

How many times have you all applied? When I interviewed I had 4 submissions in and I was told they like to see consistency in submissions in order to receive the expo invites as well as interview invites. It probably doesn’t hold always true, but that does hold a lot of weight.

Haven’t missed an application since first window of 2016. First expo invite this year.

Was about 4-5 for me by time I got the offer. They do care about updating and reapplying. Each time a window opens the other apps get dumped. They don’t want to invite people and plan on them coming if they are already somewhere they want to be without plans of moving on, just waste manpower.

I've applied at every window since summer of 2017. One pilot recruiting event in November of 2017, no interviews yet.
